This page explains how GreekProps researches, writes, checks and corrects what we publish.
Sources
- We prefer primary and official sources: the Bank of Greece, ELSTAT (the Hellenic Statistical Authority), the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), ministries, the Government Gazette and published legislation.
- We also follow established Greek and international media. We report a news item only when it comes from an official source or has been reported by several outlets, and we check it against more than one source before publishing.
- Official sources (central bank, statistics, tax authority, ministries, legislation) are linked in the article.
- When something has been announced but not yet legislated, or when reports differ, we say so in the text.
- How we rank and label sources is set out in our source standard. The live status of each rule is in our regulation tracker.
Fact-checking
- Every number, date, name and legal threshold is checked against its source before publication.
- If sources disagree, we say so and give both.
- If a detail cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or state clearly that it is unconfirmed.
- Guides show the month they were last checked. When a rule changes, we update the guide and change the date.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. A person reviews every article before it is published, checks the facts against the sources and is responsible for the final text. Some images on this site are generated with AI; they illustrate a topic and never show a specific property, person or place as if it were a photograph of it.
Independence
- GreekProps is published by AtalosWeb, a sister company of Atalos Estate, a buyer’s agency in Athens. This relationship is disclosed on our About page.
- We do not accept payment for news coverage, and advertisers or partners do not see or approve articles before publication.
- Sponsored articles and paid directory listings are always labelled as such.
Not advice
We explain rules and data. We do not give legal, tax or investment advice. Readers should confirm how any rule applies to them with a Greek lawyer or accountant.
Corrections
We correct mistakes openly. See our corrections policy.
